Today's luxury production has mostly steered to a large volume / mass production, while still being labeled as the ultimate luxury to crave for. The "narrative" design platform seeks to reintroduce the complexity often found in the antique designs, yet with a modern or futurstic twist.
The key is to build the complexity on function of the object, not on itself as l'art pour l'art, but rather to employ the shapes as a carrier of construction or use of the object. Any aesthetical platform or system can be used to carry this message, but to keep the utmost modern appeal, reductionist aesthetics should be used preferably, while contrapositioned or enriched with sculptural shaping.
